Teacher comments...

Our Alternative Education programme is designed as an intervention course for students who may be struggling in their current education provision. We offer this provision to both Primary (Year 3-Year 6) and Secondary (Year 7 - Year 11).

Placements are offered on a half termly basis with options for either a half day or full day provision and are delivered either 1:1 or  through small group work.
The programme is delivered from our learning space in JAM Cafe.

The needs of the young person are at the core of our intervention work. Increasing confidence and self esteem as well as equipping young people with both the practical and social/emotional skills to support them on their future pathways in education.

The course is designed to engage young people in positive creative activities and where appropriate, work towards their Arts Award. Students will have the option to either focus on Art (painting/drawing/clay/textiles etc...) or  Music (songwriting/production/beat making/vocals/instrumental etc...) with our specialist staff.
